The calculator can accept data in of three formats. New line for each item, separate values with a comma. Here's the logic.
- Two items per line (10, 5): "garage sale" mode; the calculator assumes each item has a quantity of one, first value is price, second is cost.
- Three items per line (5, 10, 5) - "order calculator"; calculator assumes you're using unit prices and quantities; first is quantity, second is price, third is cost. Good if you're building up an order (3 cases of this, 4 cases of that..)
- Four items per line (milk, 5, 10, 5) - a more civilized version of the order calculator; we assume the first value is an item name or label, second is quantity, third is price, forth is cost. Useful if you want to keep details straight.
